Folkestone Town Council invite you to the annual festive parade and Big Switch On event scheduled for
Saturday 22 November 2025, Folkestone Town Centre from 1:00pm
We are pulling out all the stops to ensure that Folkestone residents have a very Merry Christmas, brimming with festive community spirit and activities for all ages.
Months of preparation and rehearsal leading up the Big Switch On produce fabulous performances which are a joy to see.
The Big Switch On provides a varied and community orientated programme of entertainment, allowing families plenty of opportunity to enjoy all the Christmas decorations and lights!

1.00pm – 1.10pm St. Marys Primary School Choir
1.15pm – 1.35pm Friends of the Royal British Legion Community Choir
1.45pm – 1.55pm Morehall, Martello & Folkestone Primary – Turner Schools Choir
2.00pm – 2.15pm KM Dance Group
2.30pm Festive Parade Members assemble outside the Clifton Hotel and Pre-Parade Festivities
3.00pm Festive Parade Party Departs from outside The Clifton Hotel for Town Centre Precinct
3.35pm Festive Parade arrives at the Town Hall
3.40pm – 3.45pm Twirlstars – Baton Twirling & Pom Shaking Performance to Festive Songs
3.50pm – 4.10pm Victoria Bass Vocalist
4.15pm – 4.25pm Special Guest Q&A with Peter Pan and Captain Hook from The Leas Cliff Hall Pantomime Cast
4.30pm – 4.45pm Festive Dance Performance – Chloe Scott Dance Company
