I was born in Islington and moved to Kent as a youngster, I settled in Folkestone as a teenager and I now live and work in the Cheriton area.
I have represented the District Council Cheriton Ward since 1987 and have served at various levels on the District Council as Chair of Committees. When Folkestone Town Council was reformed in 2004, I was successful in being elected and have served continually since then.
I have served as Deputy Mayor twice and Mayor on five occasions [I hold a distinction of being Mayor in two centuries]. On District Council I have served as Chair on many occasions.
I am currently involved with the Cheriton Christmas Lights Switch on [Chair], FYP Youth Charity [Treasurer] and St Martin Community Centre Trust [Chair].
