Folkestone’s District Councillors Unite to Support the Future of the
Grace Hill Building
Folkestone Town Council is pleased to confirm that District Councillors have collectively pledged
their support for the Grace Hill building, following its acquisition by Folkestone Town Council on 1
June.
The building, a well-known town centre landmark, will be brought back into active use to benefit
the community and support local economic activity. Work will now begin on plans to revitalise the
site, alongside securing funding for its longer-term refurbishment.
Initial support from District Councillors through Ward Grants will help cover essential maintenance
and upkeep during this early phase, ensuring momentum can build while detailed proposals are
developed.
The Mayor of Folkestone said:
“We are incredibly grateful to District Councillors for coming together to support the future of Grace
Hill. This collective commitment reflects the shared ambition to see this landmark building brought
back into meaningful use for our community. It is an important first step in what we hope will be a
transformative project for the town centre, and we look forward to building on this momentum in
the months ahead.”
Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.
