Temporary Road Closure - Round Hill Tunnel
Published: 15 January 2021
We are writing to advise that A-one+, on behalf Highways England will continue to carry out renewals of the ventilation fans within the A20 Round Hill Tunnel.
In order to carry out these works as efficiently and safely as possible, from Monday 18 January 2021 for one week, Monday to Friday only there will be overnight closures of the West Bound carriageway through the tunnel between the hours of 8pm to 6am. A clearly signed diversion will be in place suitable for all types of vehicles.
West Bound Diversion: Traffic will be diverted off the A20 to join Alkham Valley Road, to join the A260 Canterbury Road, before joining the A259 Churchill Avenue to join the M20 at junction 13.
Please note that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. We’ll advertise the closures on yellow signs placed in advance at the junction/alongside the road.
We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption you may experience during this work.
